Bondi Woven Counter Stool | Washed Grey

Woven Texture for Relaxed Counter Seating

The Bondi Woven Counter Stool in Washed Grey pairs an open-weave seat and back with a natural teak frame. Its pale grey cord brings a softer contrast to the timber than a dark weave, making it an easy piece to introduce beside light cabinetry, stone benchtops and warm timber floors.

The backrest gives the stool a chair-like silhouette, while the open weave keeps a row of counter seating visually light. A timber footrest completes the design for everyday use around the kitchen island or an outdoor entertaining counter.

Solid Teak and Washed Grey Viro Cord

A finely sanded solid teak frame provides the natural timber foundation. Washed grey Viro synthetic cord is woven across the seat and back, adding texture without the look of a heavy upholstered stool. The combination suits coastal interiors, as well as contemporary spaces that call for a quieter, neutral palette.

A 65cm Seat Height for Counter Settings

With a seat height of 65cm, the Bondi is a counter stool. Its overall height of 97cm includes the backrest. Before ordering, measure from the floor to the underside of your bench and check that there is comfortable legroom above the seat, including beneath any apron or overhang.

The stool measures 48cm wide and 53cm deep. When planning several stools, allow space between seats and room behind them to pull out and sit down without obstructing walkways.

For Indoor and Full Outdoor Living

Suitable for indoor and full outdoor use, the Bondi works at a kitchen island, an alfresco counter or an open-air entertaining area. Follow the Care Guide and use a breathable furniture cover when the stool is not in use to help maintain its appearance.

Supplied fully assembled, it is ready to place once unpacked. Compare seat heights and finishes across our outdoor bar and counter stools to choose seating that suits your bench and setting.

Solid teak timber frame with a natural, finely sanded finish. The seat and back are woven in washed grey Viro synthetic cord with an open-weave pattern.

Natural Timber Character

Natural timber varies in tone, grain, markings and texture, giving each stool its own character. These variations mean the piece you receive may differ from the photographs. Colours may also appear differently depending on your computer or device’s screen settings.

Timber responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Some movement or checking — small cracks that develop as timber expands and contracts — may occur over time. Follow the care guidance and use a breathable furniture cover when not in use to help maintain its appearance.

Cleaning the Timber and Weave

Dust the teak frame regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Use a soft brush to gently remove dust from the woven seat and back. Wipe with a soft, lightly damp cloth when required and dry promptly. Clean spills as soon as possible.

Avoid acidic household cleaners, harsh chemicals and abrasive pads, which can affect the timber and cord. Do not soak the stool, use a pressure washer or leave water sitting on the surfaces.

Placement and Preventative Care

Suitable for indoor and full outdoor use. Remove leaves, debris and excess moisture regularly, paying attention to joints and woven areas. Allow the stool to dry thoroughly after rain and avoid leaving it in standing water. Exposure to sun and rain will gradually change the appearance of natural teak.

We recommend using a breathable outdoor furniture cover when not in use to help maximise longevity. Cover only when the stool is clean and fully dry, and allow air circulation to prevent trapped moisture. Lift the stool when moving it rather than dragging it, and check the feet before placing it on delicate flooring.

Caring for Natural Teak

Outdoors, natural teak will gradually weather towards a silvery-grey tone. This change in colour is part of the timber’s natural ageing process. If you wish to use a teak maintenance product, seek advice on a compatible treatment, follow its instructions and test in an inconspicuous area first. Avoid getting timber treatments on the synthetic cord.
