Grange Backless Counter Stool | Black

A Defined Black Accent for the Kitchen

The Grange Backless Counter Stool in Black introduces a crisp, contemporary silhouette to kitchen islands and breakfast benches. Its shaped timber seat and slender legs create an understated outline, while the matte black finish brings definition to pale cabinetry and stone surfaces. The backless profile keeps views open across your kitchen and adjoining living area, with no tall backrest interrupting the room.

Solid American Oak with a Matte Black Finish

Both the frame and seat are crafted from solid American oak and finished with a matte black stain. Rounded seat edges soften the appearance, while connecting timber rails add detail beneath the seat. The dark finish pairs easily with black tapware, pendant lighting and hardware, or provides contrast against warm timber joinery. Repeating one or two black elements elsewhere can help tie the kitchen together without making every finish identical.

A Compact Backless Profile

Measuring 39cm wide and 31cm deep, the stool provides a compact option for individual breakfast spots or a row of island seating. Whether it can sit fully beneath your worktop depends on the bench overhang and supporting cabinetry. Compare the stool’s complete dimensions with the available recess, including any rails or brackets beneath the counter, before planning its position.

Choose Seating by Height and Clearance

The 66cm seat height is also the stool’s overall height. Measure from the floor to the underside of your bench, leaving comfortable room for your legs above the seat. Allow space between neighbouring stools and behind the seating area so people can sit down and pass through easily. Counter-height seating differs from taller bar-height seating; the right choice depends on your bench measurements.

Coordinate Your Contemporary Dining Space

Carry the dark timber accent into an adjoining dining area with the Grange Black Dining Chair with Timber Seat, or explore complementary dining room furniture to create a connected interior. Each stool is sold individually, allowing you to order the quantity that suits your layout, and arrives fully assembled for straightforward placement indoors.

Materials & Finish

Frame & Seat: Solid American oak.

Finish: Matte black stain.

Natural Timber Character

Natural variations in timber grain, markings and texture give each stool individual character, including beneath the black stain. These details may differ from the photographs, and colours may appear differently depending on lighting and your computer or device screen settings.

Solid timber responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Some movement and checking—small cracks that develop as timber expands and contracts—may occur over time.
