Grange Backless Counter Stool | Walnut

A Warm Walnut Accent for the Kitchen

The Grange Backless Counter Stool in Walnut brings rich timber colour and a clean, open silhouette to kitchen islands and breakfast benches. Its curved timber seat, rounded edges and slender legs give the design a light appearance, while the backless shape keeps sightlines open across adjoining living and dining spaces. Use a single stool for a compact breakfast spot or arrange several along an island for a coordinated setting.

Solid American Black Walnut

Both the frame and seat are made from solid American black walnut, with a natural clear coat that allows the timber’s grain to remain visible. The shaped seat and connecting timber rails add detail without a bulky outline. Walnut’s deeper tones work beautifully against pale stone, white cabinetry and brushed metal, or alongside darker joinery for a layered, tonal kitchen.

A Compact Backless Design

Measuring 39cm wide and 31cm deep, the Grange offers a compact footprint for everyday indoor seating. Without a backrest projecting above the counter, it helps maintain an uncluttered view. Whether it can tuck fully beneath your bench depends on the available overhang, supporting cabinetry and the height beneath the worktop; compare these clearances before ordering.

Choose the Right Counter Height

The 66cm seat height is also the stool’s overall height. Measure from the floor to the underside of your counter and allow comfortable space above the seat for your legs. Check the usable length of the seating area, leaving room between stools and space behind them to sit down and move freely. Counter stools and taller bar stools serve different bench heights, so choose by measurements rather than the name alone.

Materials & Finish

Frame & Seat: Solid American black walnut.

Finish: Natural clear coat.

Natural Timber Character

Natural variations in timber tone, grain and markings make each stool individual. These details may differ from those shown in the photographs, and colours may appear differently depending on lighting and your computer or device screen settings.

Solid timber responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Some movement and checking—small cracks that develop as timber expands and contracts—may occur over time.

W39 × D31 × H66cm. Seat height: 66cm. Weight: Approx. 4kg.

Sold individually. Measure counter clearance, cabinetry and space between stools before ordering.

Regular Care

Preventative Care

Use indoors, away from prolonged direct sunlight, heat sources and persistent dampness. Clean spills promptly. Fit suitable floor protectors and check them regularly. Lift rather than drag when moving.

Use on a level surface. Do not stand on the seat or rock the stool onto two legs. Check counter clearance before use.
