Grange Counter Stool | Walnut

A Walnut Counter Stool with Warm Timber Character

The Grange Counter Stool in Walnut brings the rich grain of solid American black walnut to the kitchen island or breakfast bench. A timber seat, gently curved backrest and slender legs create a defined silhouette, while the integrated footrest completes the design. Its darker timber tone makes an appealing contrast to pale stone, soft neutral cabinetry and light flooring.

Solid American Black Walnut and a Clear-Coat Finish

The solid walnut frame and seat allow the timber’s grain and tonal variation to become part of the design. A natural clear-coat finish complements the wood, while the shaped backrest gives the stool character from the rear as well as the front. This is particularly useful in open-plan rooms, where kitchen seating can be visible from the adjoining living or dining space.

Plan Your Seating Around the 66cm Seat Height

The seat stands 66cm from the floor; the full height, including the backrest, is 87cm. With an overall width of 40cm and depth of 45cm, the stool offers useful measurements for planning your kitchen seating. Check the underside of your bench, the usable overhang and any support rails before ordering. Allow space between stools and behind them so each person can sit down, stand up and move comfortably.

Style for Contemporary and Organic Modern Interiors

Walnut introduces depth to organic modern interiors, balancing pale surfaces and textured finishes with a warmer, darker timber element. Pair it with muted greens, warm whites and understated ceramics, or repeat walnut tones in adjacent furniture for a more cohesive setting. The simple timber form also works well with contemporary kitchens and mid-century-inspired styling.

Connect Your Kitchen and Dining Spaces

Pair the stool with the Grange Walnut Dining Chair to carry a similar timber character into an adjacent dining area. Each stool is sold individually and arrives fully assembled, allowing you to choose the quantity for your counter. Natural Timber Character

Natural variations in grain, tone and markings give each stool its own character. Solid timber responds to changes in temperature and humidity; some movement or fine surface cracks, known as checking, may develop over time. Position away from persistent moisture, strong heat and prolonged direct sunlight.

Colours may appear differently depending on lighting and your computer or device screen settings.

Styled photographs may show more than one stool. Each stool is sold individually; the price is for one stool.

Regular Cleaning

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. When needed, wipe with a lightly dampened cloth and dry promptly. Blot spills as soon as they occur. Avoid acidic household cleaners, harsh chemicals, solvents and abrasive pads that could damage the clear-coat finish.

Preventative Care

Keep indoors, away from prolonged direct sunlight, heaters and persistent dampness. Avoid leaving wet items on the timber. Fit suitable floor protectors where needed and check them regularly for wear or trapped grit. Lift rather than drag the stool when moving it.

Everyday Use

Use on a stable, level surface. Avoid rocking the stool onto two legs, and do not stand on the seat or footrest. Check that the seating position allows comfortable legroom beneath the counter.
