Tembisa Round Coffee Table – Reclaimed Timber

A Round Coffee Table with Reclaimed Character

The Tembisa Round Coffee Table by Uniqwa Collections brings a substantial timber centrepiece to the living room. Its 110cm circular top sits above a robust, open timber base, combining a grounded silhouette with space beneath. A bleached finish softens the wood tones while leaving the reclaimed surface visible.

The rounded shape works well within a conversational seating arrangement, whether placed in front of a sofa or between a group of occasional chairs. It introduces a softer outline alongside straight-lined seating without losing the presence of a generous coffee table.

Reclaimed Railway Timber and a Bleached Finish

Timber recovered from former railway use gives Tembisa its distinctive surface. Old nail holes, knots, splits and weathered markings contribute to the design, so the table brings texture even when styled simply. Its appeal lies in the individual timber rather than an identical, uniform finish.

Pair the pale wood tones with linen upholstery, textured rugs and understated ceramics for an organic modern setting, or introduce it to a rustic interior where aged timber is already part of the palette.

For Living Rooms and Sheltered Outdoor Spaces

Tembisa can be used indoors or in a protected undercover outdoor area. An outdoor position must keep the table sheltered from rain and direct sunlight, with good airflow around the timber. Choose a dry, level surface and use a suitable furniture cover when the table is not in use.

Choose the Right Scale for Your Seating

At 110cm in diameter and 45cm high, this is the Large Tembisa Coffee Table. Compare the height with your sofa seat and check the floor space around the full circular top. Allow room to reach the table comfortably, move your legs and walk around the seating area.

Our coffee table size and styling guide can help you plan the proportions. Keep accessories restrained so the timber remains the focal point.

Material: Reclaimed railway timber.

Finish: Bleached timber finish.

Reclaimed Character: No two tables are alike. The timber may feature old nail holes, borer holes, surface cracks, natural seasoning splits and open knots from its previous life. These characteristics form part of the intended rustic appearance.

Please note: Variations in tone, grain, markings and texture make each table individual. Your table may differ from the photographs, and colours may appear differently depending on your computer or device’s screen settings. Solid timber responds to changes in humidity and temperature; further movement or checking (small cracks that develop as timber expands and contracts) may occur over time.

Size: Large

Diameter: 110cm

Height: 45cm

Check the full circular footprint against your seating layout and allow space for comfortable movement. Measure doorways, stairs, lifts and turning spaces before ordering.

Regular Cleaning

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or soft brush, gently removing dust from the timber’s textured areas. For light marks, use a lightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly straight away. Do not soak the timber or leave water standing on the surface.

Protect the Surface

Wipe up spills promptly. Use coasters beneath drinks, heat-resistant pads beneath hot objects and soft protective pads beneath decorative pieces. Lift accessories rather than sliding them across the timber. Avoid harsh or acidic cleaners, bleach, abrasive pads, steam cleaning and pressure washing. Seek advice before applying oils, waxes or sealants, as these may change the bleached finish.

Placement and Preventative Care

Keep the table away from direct heat, strong sunlight and prolonged damp conditions. Maintain airflow around the piece and position it on a dry, level surface. Lift with suitable assistance when moving it rather than dragging it.

Undercover Outdoor Use

Use only in a sheltered area protected from rain and direct sunlight. We recommend using outdoor furniture covers when not in use to maximise longevity. Ensure the table is completely dry before covering and use a cover that allows ventilation, avoiding trapped moisture. Move it to a dry, sheltered position during severe weather.
