Ashford Outdoor Dining Chair | Natural

Country-Inspired Outdoor Dining

The Ashford Outdoor Dining Chair brings a natural woven look to outdoor dining, with a tall back, gently curving arms and a light seat cushion. The enclosed weave gives the chair a generous, grounded presence, offering a way to introduce texture alongside simple outdoor tables and paved terraces.

Its natural colour suits a country garden setting just as easily as a contemporary courtyard. Pair it with weathered timber for a relaxed farmhouse feel, or use it against pale stone and clean architectural lines for a more modern contrast.

Synthetic Weave over an Aluminium Frame

Beneath its textured surface, Ashford has an aluminium frame wrapped in synthetic weave. This gives it the appearance of woven wicker in a construction intended for outdoor use. The seat cushion is finished in water-resistant outdoor fabric; protect it from prolonged rain and allow it to dry thoroughly after exposure to moisture.

A Generous Dining Chair with Arms

The high woven back and integrated arms create a more enveloping silhouette than a simple side chair. Use Ashford around an outdoor dining table or place one at each end as a pair of statement carver chairs. Check the table’s underside clearance against the 65cm arm height if you want the chairs to tuck underneath.

Allow space for the chair’s full width and depth, as well as room to pull it out and move behind seated guests. A seat height of 49cm provides a useful starting measurement when checking compatibility with your table.

Complete Your Outdoor Dining Setting

Choose from our outdoor dining tables to create a setting that suits your space. Keep accessories simple so the woven texture can be the focal point, using greenery and neutral table linen to soften the arrangement.

Care for Outdoor Living

Regular cleaning and dry cushion storage help keep the setting ready for use. For broader advice on materials, exposure and placement, read our Australian outdoor furniture buying guide.

Frame: Aluminium.

Weave: Synthetic outdoor weave in a natural colour. This is a woven-look synthetic material, rather than natural rattan.

Seat cushion: Water-resistant outdoor fabric. Water resistance does not make the cushion waterproof; store it in a dry, ventilated place during prolonged wet weather or when not in use.

Please note: Woven texture and colour may appear slightly different in photographs and on different computer or device screens.

Overall: W67 × D73 × H96 cm

Seat Height: 49 cm

Arm Height: 65 cm

Weight: Approx. 12 kg

Check arm clearance beneath your table and allow room to pull the chair out comfortably.

Weave and Frame

Remove loose dirt with a soft brush or cloth, then clean the synthetic weave and aluminium frame with fresh water. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals and high-pressure cleaning. Near salt water, rinse regularly with fresh water to remove salt deposits and allow to dry.

Seat Cushion

Blot spills promptly. Follow the cushion care label; supplier's outdoor fabric guidance recommends cold hand washing and air drying. Do not tumble dry. Allow the fabric and cushion to dry completely before use or storage.

Preventative Care

Store cushions in a dry, ventilated place during prolonged rain and extended periods of non-use. Use a suitable breathable furniture cover when needed, ensuring the chair is dry before covering. Lift the chair when moving it rather than dragging it across hard surfaces.

We recommend using outdoor furniture covers when not in use to maximise longevity.

Is Ashford made from natural rattan?

No. Ashford uses synthetic outdoor weave over an aluminium frame, giving it a natural woven appearance in materials suited to outdoor use.

Can this chair be used outdoors?

Yes. The synthetic weave, aluminium frame and water-resistant outdoor seat fabric are intended for outdoor use. Protect cushions from prolonged rain and store them dry when not in use.

Will the arms fit beneath my dining table?

The arm height is 65cm and the seat height is 49cm. Measure the clearance beneath your table, including any apron, and allow extra room so the arms can move underneath without rubbing.

Is the seat cushion waterproof?

The outdoor fabric is water-resistant, rather than waterproof. Avoid leaving the cushion wet and allow it to dry completely before storage.

How do I check delivery and availability?

Contact Magnolia Lane to confirm availability and arrange a personalised Australia-wide delivery quote. White Glove delivery, including unpacking, assembly where applicable, placement and packaging removal, may be available in selected areas for an additional fee.
