Byron Round Dining Table | Solid American Oak

A Round Oak Dining Table for Gathering

The Byron Round Dining Table creates a welcoming centre for shared meals, with a circular solid American oak top and a substantial geometric timber base. Its round shape gives everyone a place in the conversation, while the natural oak tones bring warmth to the dining room.

The broad tabletop is balanced by the open form of the base, giving the design a strong presence without enclosing the space beneath it. With no corners projecting into the room, the circular silhouette also softens the lines of nearby cabinetry and rectangular living spaces.

Solid American Oak with a Natural-Looking Finish

The timber is finely sanded and finished in Osmo Polyx Oil 3044 Raw to retain a natural-looking oak colour. Visible grain and the 3.5cm-thick tabletop give the Byron its character, while the simple profile lets the timber remain the focus.

The finish suits relaxed coastal interiors, Scandinavian-inspired dining rooms and contemporary spaces. Pair the oak with woven textures for a lighter setting, or use upholstered seating to introduce softness around its sculptural base.

Choose from 150cm, 180cm and 200cm Diameters

All three sizes stand 76cm high. Choose the diameter around your room and the chairs you intend to use, allowing enough space to pull seats out and walk behind them. The larger options make a generous focal point, but require a correspondingly spacious dining area.

Chair width and the position of the timber base affect how many seats fit comfortably. Use our dining table layout guide to plan seating and circulation before selecting a size.

Create a Dining Setting That Works Together

Choose indoor dining chairs with proportions that complement your selected table diameter. Check armrest height and how far each chair can tuck beneath the tabletop. Assembly is required; White Glove Delivery can include assembly, placement and packaging removal where available.

Solid American Oak

Solid American oak tabletop and timber base, finely sanded for a smooth feel. The top is 3.5cm thick.

Osmo Polyx Oil 3044 Raw Finish

Finished in Osmo Polyx Oil 3044 Raw to retain the timber’s natural-looking colour. The finish contains no biocides or preservatives, is food-safe when fully cured, and resists common spills including coffee, tea, wine, fruit juice, milk and water. Wipe spills promptly and use surface protection; the finish does not make the table waterproof or heatproof.

Natural Timber Variations

Natural oak varies in tone, grain, markings and texture, so each table has its own character. The table you receive may differ from the photographs, and colours may appear differently depending on your computer or device’s screen settings.

Solid timber responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Some movement or checking — small cracks that develop as timber expands and contracts — may occur over time.

Planning Your Space

Measure the table footprint, chair pull-out space and surrounding walkways before ordering. Check doorways, stairs, lifts and turning spaces along the delivery route. Confirm chair arm height and base clearance if you want chairs to tuck beneath the table.

Regular Cleaning

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe with a soft, lightly damp cloth when needed and dry promptly. Clean spills immediately, including beneath placemats and decorative objects. Do not soak the timber or leave water standing on the surface.

Protecting the Tabletop

Use coasters beneath drinks, placemats beneath plates, and heat-resistant trivets beneath hot dishes. Do not place hot cookware directly on the timber. Use felt pads beneath decorative objects and lift items rather than sliding them across the surface.

Avoid acidic household cleaners, abrasive pads, bleach and harsh chemicals. Check that any cleaning or maintenance product is compatible with an Osmo oil-finished surface before use, and test it in a concealed area first.

Placement and Ongoing Care

For indoor use only. Position away from prolonged direct sunlight, heaters, fireplaces and direct air-conditioning airflow. Maintain a reasonably stable indoor environment to reduce abrupt changes in timber moisture levels.

If the finish needs refreshing, seek advice on an appropriate Osmo maintenance product rather than applying a generic furniture polish or oil. Follow product instructions and avoid excess application.

Assembly and Moving

Follow the assembly instructions and use two people for safe handling. Lift the table when moving it rather than dragging it or pulling on the tabletop. Check fittings periodically and tighten gently where needed, without overtightening.
