Trunk Coffee Table | Solid Munggur Timber

A Sculptural Solid Timber Coffee Table

The Trunk Coffee Table by Uniqwa Collections brings the character of a solid tree trunk to the centre of your living room. Its low, circular form offers a substantial focal point, while the hand-carved surface celebrates the timber’s grain and irregular detail.

Hand-Carved from Solid Munggur

Each table is carved from a munggur trunk rather than assembled to a uniform pattern. Differences in grain, shape and texture give every piece its own character. Choose Trunk for its organic appearance, with natural markings and movement forming part of the design.

A Low Profile for Relaxed Living

At approximately 30cm high and 70–80cm in diameter, this is a low coffee table suited to a relaxed seating arrangement. Check the height against your sofa and allow comfortable space to move around its rounded form.

For help with proportions, read our Coffee Table Size, Shape & Style Guide.

Style with Natural Texture

The White, Natural and Black colourways complement coastal interiors, organic modern spaces and relaxed resort-inspired rooms. Combine it with linen upholstery and simple decorative pieces, allowing the table’s sculptural form to remain the focus.

Consider the flooring before positioning your table: solid munggur can release residual moisture and tannins. Hard flooring is preferable; it should not sit directly on rugs or carpet. See Materials and Care for placement guidance.

Timber & Colour

• Material: Solid munggur tree trunk.
• Construction: Hand-carved.
• Colours available: White, Natural and Black.

No Two Pieces Are Alike

Each Trunk Coffee Table is carved from an individual tree trunk. Its outline, proportions and surface detail reflect that piece of timber, so differences in grain, veins, knots, tone, texture and dimensions are expected. Tables ordered together may also differ from one another.

Photographs show examples of the design rather than the exact table you will receive. Coloured finishes do not conceal every irregularity in the timber. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your computer or device screen settings.

Movement, Cracking & Moisture

Solid munggur responds to changes in temperature and humidity. It can expand, contract and develop cracks or separations as it adjusts. Checking describes cracks that form as timber dries and moves.

Although kiln-dried, thick trunk sections can retain moisture internally. This may rise to the surface during transport or after delivery, producing moisture spots or water blemishes. Dark or black markings can also occur. The appearance may continue to change over time.

Residual moisture and natural tannins may leach from the timber and mark absorbent surfaces. Read the preventative placement guidance in Care before positioning your table, particularly near rugs or carpet.

Diameter: Approximately 70–80cm

Height: Approximately 30cm

Weight: Approximately 60kg

Dimensions vary because each table is carved from a natural trunk. Check your room layout and delivery access before ordering.

Preventative Care & Placement

• Prefer hard flooring. Do not place solid munggur directly on rugs, carpet or other absorbent surfaces, as moisture and tannins may transfer and cause staining.
• If positioning over soft flooring is unavoidable, Uniqwa recommends a protective barrier such as a thick plastic sheet or liner beneath the piece. This may reduce transfer but does not guarantee protection; contact us before positioning if you are unsure.
• Keep the room well ventilated. Avoid enclosed, damp storage and prolonged contact with water, as excess moisture and poor airflow may encourage discolouration or mould.
• Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and concentrated heat sources to limit rapid changes in the timber’s environment.
• Check beneath and around the table periodically for moisture or transfer marks, especially after delivery. Keep the surrounding floor dry and investigate any dampness promptly.

Protecting the Surface

• Use coasters beneath drinks and protective pads under decorative objects.
• Blot spills promptly and remove standing water. Do not leave damp cloths, wet pots or other moisture-holding items on the table.
• Lift objects when moving them across the surface to avoid scratches.

Cleaning

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For marks, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with water, then allow the timber to dry. Do not soak the surface or use cleaning sprays, harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

Blemishes & Finish Maintenance

Natural marks and movement can develop as the timber settles into its environment. Contact Magnolia Lane before sanding, oiling, repainting or applying other treatments, particularly on White and Black finishes, so we can confirm advice for the affected surface.

What is the Trunk Coffee Table made from?

It is hand-carved from a solid munggur tree trunk. Choose from White, Natural or Black.

What size is the table?

The diameter is approximately 70–80cm and the height is approximately 30cm. Its weight is approximately 60kg. The natural trunk shape means measurements vary between pieces.

Will my table look exactly like the photographs?

No two trunks are identical. Grain, knots, contours, tone and natural markings vary, and cracking or separation may develop as the timber moves. Choose this table for its individual, rustic character.

Can I place it on a rug or carpet?

Avoid placing it directly on absorbent flooring because moisture and tannins can transfer from solid munggur. Hard flooring is preferable. Contact us to discuss protection if you intend to position it over a rug or carpet.

How do I care for the table’s finish?

Dust gently and clean marks with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture and harsh cleaners. Ask us for advice before sanding or applying oils or other treatments.

How can I check availability and delivery?

Contact Magnolia Lane with your suburb, postcode and access details for current availability and a personalised delivery quote. Production timing can vary seasonally, so please confirm lead times if you have a particular date in mind.
